* 40+ Three riders got clear from the pack, Peter Carlos,
Andy Teixeira and Sean Coleman. Then a second group of four
separated from the bunch, Peter Aldridge, Steven Mlujeak, Jose
Armas and Wills Powell. Both groups managed to lap the field.
Then Coleman, Powell and Armas broke away again from the pack to
give us the closest ever final sprint at Rosewood. First and
second place was separated by a few millimeters, that’s right,
that close; victory was for Armas followed by Powell. In third
place came Coleman, fourth was for Mlujeak, and closing the top
five by Peter Carlos.
*50+ First break of the day, Ferrer, Rosenthal and Julian.
After a few laps Ferrer did not see Mosquera getting across,
therefore he decided to go back to the bunch and pull him out to
the break; he did that, but every one was back together. Soon
after Angel jumped and Julian closed the gap, a new break was
form, a couple of laps later Rosenthal, Ferrer and Martinez went
across; now it was a 5 men break; 3 riders from Big Wheel, one
Bike America and one Miami Masters. Still Big Wheel riders
continued looking for Mosquera, Finally came across with Valle,
another two Big Wheel riders added to the break. After many jump
attempts from Angel to go in a solo, Ferrer went by him self to
win the race, leaving second place to Angel followed by Julian
in third. We knew Mosquera and Rosenthal were looking at each
other in search of yellow, but Martinez took four and Rosenthal
fifth.
*Pro 1, 2, 3 Many attempts to breakaway happened from lap
one, high speed was kept at all times. Zayas and Martinez tried
for two laps as many others but the bunch kept coming back
together. Until the final break formed by Cueli, Mlujeak,
Navarro and Martinez. Unattached riders made new alliance ether
with Team Cocos or Sun Cycling. The new kid on the block; Jose
Navarro surprise every one by wining the sprint against the four
companions, Jose unattached rider until then, was quickly signed
by Team Cocos and now is in second place over all. Second place
for the day was for Martinez, followed by Cueli and Mlujeak. The
field sprint was for Pol followed by the yellow jersey, Barros.
*4&5 Very interest race to read when you do not know who is
helping the leader, at least four riders with different jerseys
were. They were almost together the first part of the race,
Marino and Serrania broke away but the bunch brought them back.
Then Lee in a solo but came back too. Then I Hernandez, Bermudez
and Arniella it looked like a good break, but after a couple of
lap they were together again. About three laps to go Silverberg
went in a solo and kept it to win the race. Second place was for
Arnilla, followed by a bunch sprint taken by I Hernandez, Rivera
and Bermudez to complete top five.
