* 35+ Strong and big field for this new season. Y Aira from
Rosetti team dominated the sprinter’s jersey by winning the
primes, in second place we have two riders; I Daniel from
performance team and J Rodriguez from Velo Masters. After many
break attempts, the bunch came together for the final sprint; T
Hancock racing for four 2 one sports gets the first yellow
jersey of the season. Second place was for C Sosa followed by L
Martinez.
*45+ & 55+ An early break of six riders decided the destiny
of the race; all teams were represented at front, but after the
second prime two riders got dropped. J Armas from Pink Panthers
took all points for the white jersey and took the yellow jersey
as well. Second place of the day was for S Wood from Bikestreet
and third was for D Paulete. We need to get more than 55+ riders
to run a separate race; we require 15 so we do not have to
combine the two categories. We only had 13, the results here
were first place M Mosquera from Big Wheel Sunrise, second place
was R Abreu from EBP team, followed by H Tyndle from Artemis
Team.
*Pro 1,2,3 The white sprinter’s jersey competition started
with a draw in first place between L Martinez and R Rivera, we
need to wait until March 10th at Piccolo to see who will unite
this. EBP team managed to put three riders in the break to take
1st and 2nd place. The new leader is D Cueli followed by T
Gibbons and Y Tsang from BikeStreet in third place.
*Cat 4&5 Joel Corrales took both intermediate sprints and is
now wearing the white jersey, second place with 3 points behind
is for J Rodriguez from Velo Masters. R Szabo from Bike America
Team wins the race and now is in yellow; second place was for
the return to cycling of an old Colombian ex-pro, H Rendon;
followed by O Martinez in third place.
