* 35+ As usual the race within the race, that is,
sprinters white jersey; made so many riders jumped to see if
they could breakaway. Ghost/Z’s bikes team controlled it and
managed to keep it together. For the first sprint they placed
				riders in 1
st and 2
nd. After that, a break
of 4 riders made it to the end, but for a few laps Jorge Cortes
did a solo, but between Martinez from coco’s team, Sosa and Joa
from team paisa pulled him back. For the final sprint, Martinez,
better known as “tornicon” got the first yellow jersey of series
				2. The field sprint was for Roman Morozov, to claim 5
th
				place.
				* 45+ “Fast and Furious” race. Shaun Redman told me “so
far this is the fastest race I have done this year” Many riders
tried to go but no can’t do. Finally Gus Ferrer from Bike
America and Mauricio Mosquera from Big wheel managed to
breakaway for a couple of laps. But Nivio Diaz from ghost/z’s
bikes pulled them back. At this point, almost half of the pack
got dropped. The fight to keep the speed and control of the
front continue between: Bike America, big wheel and Z’s bikes.
The final sprint was very closed. Big Wheel took 1st
with Mosquera and 2nd place with Martinez; leaving 3rd
to Rosenthal from Bike America, 4th to Shaun Redman
from GS Palm Beach, and 5th for Fitzroy Craig from
				team performance.

				* 1, 2, 3  “Another day in paradise” Sun Cycling
team is back, Barros went hard for a few laps but the high speed
imposed by the peloton, did not let any one else breakaway. One
rider made the difference today, back in 1999 he placed 4th
overall at “La Vuelta al Táchira” (best pro race in Venezuela),
continuing with his success the following year he won the last
stage in Bogota at “La vuelta a Colombia” (best pro race in
South America). Yusvany Falcon, now racing for Bahati
Foundation; pulled back many small breaks and managed to create
an eleven men break over a minute head on the 7 riders left from
a 41 started peloton. The final sprint was tight but Falcon was
half a bike ahead of Hector Pastorino from Argentina racing for
big Wheel and our local rider, Luis Zayas racing for Aerospace.
Zambrana after doing 35+ claimed 4th as well as
Martinez from team cocos for 5th place.

				* 4&5 In a mixed of juniors developing to become the
new future of South Florida riders, and the traditional 4,5
				riders, plus the addition of the young and no so young riders;
gave us the biggest field of the day. We knew that the group of
guys that train at a place nearby turnpike expressway, so called
“el hueco” discussed how they were looking forward to get both
jerseys. After them getting the first sprint for the white
points jersey, a break of three riders formed. Z,s bikes team
worked hard chasing them without success. Three laps to go Jake
Silverberg from Z’s bikes endeavored in a solo looking for 4th
place, but 10 meters before the line, the world track champ from
Cuba, Yosmani Pol claimed 4th leaving Jake with 5th.
The final sprint was won comfortably by Manuel Caso, followed by
Hamlet Alfonso and Jose Armas from Z’s bike for 3rd.
