* 35+ From the beginning some solo attempts’ happened but the
pack controls the pace to bring them back. After the first
intermediate sprint, R. Del Sol and G. Guzman got a good gap,
but Guzman got back to the pack. In a hard effort G Ferrer
closes the gap, and now with Del Sol, the two of them are gone,
Ferrer winds the day and gets tie in points in first place with
the current leader. Aira kept the sprinters jersey.
*45+ & 55+ Biggest field of the day, beside the regular
yellow and white jerseys competition, we had the 55+ yellow
jersey competition together; this combination makes the race
more excited, even though all of them know each other, and to
yellow’s to identify within the pack, urges to keep an eye on
breaks is very important. W Martinez outsprinted C Rosenthal and
C Ortiz to win the stage. Jose Armas kept both jerseys, and
Ferrer by been in the break wins the 55+ race, but Mosquera from
the same team kept the yellow jersey followed by H Tyndle.
*Pro 1,2,3 The smaller the field the hardest to race at
Piccolo. P Sansbury got in to three men break, where L Alonso
got enough points at the intermediate sprints to be now wearing
the white jersey. Soon after the second prime Sansbury got into
a solo mode, but a the same time N Trujillo do the same from the
pack, Trujillo got to two riders; Alonso and Velez, left earlier
by Patrick, but him lap the field and continue in a solo to lap
the break chasing now the pack. Trujillo gets second at the
stage followed by Alonso.
*Cat 4&5 Another good field, but wind speed increased. N
Rolo winds the two sprints and now is on second place behind
Corrales on the white jersey. A three main break, E Lopez, JA
Rodriguez and N Rolo lapped the field about two laps before the
end of the race. The winner was Lopez followed by Rodriguez.
Szabo was able to keep the yellow jersey, but now we have three
riders tie in second place, Martinez Lopez and Rodriguez.
