* 40+ Finally we got a cool racing date, some riders did not
show up, well… only the brave came. The fewer riders we get the
harder the race will be. GC was tied, so they looked at each
other until a break of seven with all contenders left the pack
behind. Final sprint was taken by R Robinson followed by JA
Rodriguez and third place, by two inches, was for R Morosov. The
winner of the series was Jonet Hernandez; completing the final
series’ podium we had N Trujillo and J Armas.
* 50+ Current leader N Diaz brought some company to help him,
and worked. Closely mark he had to R Hernandez, while two groups
of two riders took off, A Macfarlane dropped his companion,
which got dropped as well from the second group. Now three top
positions taken and Macfarlane lapped the field and wins the
race. On the second group P Aldridge wins the sprint, third
place was for P Davis. R Hernandez wins the field sprint
followed by N Diaz, but not enough points to win the series, and
Diaz is the champion!
* Pro 1,2,3 Before the race Stadalli team thought that they
will fill the three steps on the podium, but not quite. J
Silverberg (19) pro rider for the Astellas continental team,
tear into pieces the bunch taken off from the front, two laps
averaging 35 MPH left only 5 riders, but then right after that,
he attacked again and lapped the field in a solo. Pack broken in
pieces was taken by the four riders left behind and finally the
lapped the main field as well. All contenders for GC were there.
Only five without missing a lap, R Campanioni wins the race and
takes third place overall. Second place of the day was for E
Lopez, and wins the overall. Last step at the podium was for L
Zayas that gets second place on the general classification.
* Cat 4&5 The expected race of the day, biggest field of
the day and 13 $20 primes donated by spectators made this race
and event to watch. Ever other lap we had an intermediate sprint
for the bunch excluding any riders on any given break, if any.
No one could breakaway. Current leader missed the race, so final
podium wide open. Y Del Toro took advantage and claimed the
final yellow jersey, by placing second on the last leg. The
winner of the day was G Leonardi, followed by E Lopez. Top three
riders on this category from last year received mandatory
upgrade to cat 3, therefore we got a clear room for new faces to
bright this season.
* Juniors On the four categories we have, the following
riders won the overall classification:
6-9 Eren Ahmet
10-12 Mason Mook
13-15 Marcel Maldonado
16-17 Alex Supik
