*35+ The conclusion of this series was fun to watch, when you
may think riders without points may the pack let go, think
again. Many attempts were brought back to the bunch until
Franco, Trujillo and Armas went on a second jump after been
caught. Back in the field and spectators worried about
Robinson’s points situation, but he pulled off and kept his
yellow jersey. Second place overall was Aira followed by
Trujillo closing the podium.
* 45+ Nivio Diaz is back and lapped the field; but the eyes
were on Armas, Ortiz and Martinez. Three riders broke away,
Rosenthal, Llorens and a 55+ Ferrer. Only four places left with
points for the top three on GC. Ortiz won the field sprint to
tie in points with Armas that kept his yellow jersey; third
place on the podium was for Martinez. At the 55+ Mosquera kept
in yellow followed by Ferrer and Tyndle closing the podium.
* Pro 1,2,3 Before the race top three places on GC were so
closed that only one point separated them. A break conformed by
Franco and Matute changed the perspective on final GC, now
Franco may jump to the podium, as he finally did in second place
overall. The disputed points left were open and Henao by winning
the field sprint gets third place for the series. Sansbury got
fifth place gaining enough points to go home in yellow as winner
of the series.
* 4&5 It is not common at the last race of the series for the
sprinter’s jersey to change hands but this time happened,
Rodriguez took both sprints and gained the jersey. Galiz team
controlled the race very well, but a junior, N Garcia spoiled
the day by winning the final sprint from the three men breakaway
group. Second place was for Rodriguez that gets also second
place for the series. Lopez got third but gets yellow as the
winner of the series. Szabo, was the leader before this race, he
did not show up ending up in third place overall.
