* 35+ “What They Started They Finished” From the first lap
Greg Cousins took off, followed by Raul Diaz, they managed to be
away for a few laps. Ledy Alonso started chasing, combined with
a Z’s bikes team efforts; they were able to bring them back.
Wearing yellow changes all perspectives, “It made me do two
hours of motor pacing before I came to race this morning” said
Sanchez, current leader. That was his way of getting ready for
today’s two hill climb. It worked for him, He got sixth place
and kept his yellow jersey. Nearly the end of the race, the same
two riders that broke away at the beginning, were able to
recreated and get ahead of the pack one more time, Diaz from Sun
Cycling Team out sprinted Cousins from Morgan Stanley to claim
victory. Third place in a solo was for Roman Joa from Team
Paisa, fourth to Julio Rojas and fifth to Richard Diaz.
* 45+ “Up by Pairs Down by Pairs” The battle continues
between Bike America and Big Wheel team. Who is taken advantage?
Who would it thought five ladies are getting into their best
shape by racing with one of the fastest group at Rosewood
Series. The bunch was together for a while until Wills Powell
shook the field three laps in a row at the north hill. That is
when two riders from Big Wheel, Mosquera and Benitez with two
riders from Bike America, Ferrer and Powell broke away for good…
now they were gone. Unfortunately as they flew away; in the last
lap at the last turn getting ready for the final sprint, a
riders from each team crashed into each other, leaving Powell
and Benitez to take first and second place. Wallie Martinez
claimed third and kept his yellow jersey.
* Pro 1, 2, 3. “Dump Race Domination by Santos” 2010
dump race at Vista View Park so far belongs to Santos Team, two
out of two in their packets. But Team Cocos is given then a good
fight. If Santos claims one day victory, Cocos claimed yellow.
That’s right; Hector Pastorino is the new leader. If Falcon
behind one point, comes back on time to us from the Tour of the
America’s, we really can not predict who will be this series
winner. Raul Bello from a pack of nine riders left at front
under 99 degree temperature, jumped and won in a solo, followed
by Fred Matute from Cocos Team about hundred meters behind. Yip
Tsang finished third, Hector forth, and closing the top five was
Ortelio Marin also from Team Cocos.
* 4&5 “Waiting Pays Off” Not only at this race, but
at all of them we had at least one rider asking “how far into
this pain” meaning how many minutes of racing so far. Paul Perry
from Bike America yelled us that, twenty two minutes we
answered. He shook his head and continues pedaling. Gregg Blow
and Tony Blazejack broke away to get first and second place for
the day. But Blow from Bike America seats second overall, just
one point behind current leader Jake Silverberg, He couldn’t do
it last week, but patiently He waited until today by taken third
place; now He is the yellow mark for independence date series
finale at Miami Lakes. Juan Hernandez from team Paisa finished
fourth followed by Daniel Mosquera that had a flat tire while He
was also in the breakaway, He had to chase hard since there is
no free lap at Vista View Race, to close the top five.
