*35+ All for grabs at this new series, first break was form
between Morozov, joa and Armas. But not success. The second one
by Lofton and Serrania showed us that Cool Beans team and Velo
Masters team were very active to make it interesting. First
intermediate sprint was for Marin followed by Martinez and third
for Jordaan. Eight riders, Three from Cool beans team and three
from Velo Master pulled by Gunter, were closed soon enough by
team cocos. The second sprint gave us same results for first and
second places, leaving third to J Hernandez. All came together
for the final sprint; Team Cocos did the final lead out to
Marin, he takes both jerseys. Second place was for Quintero,
followed by Helms; then C Weight, and closing the top five was G
Guzman.
*45+ More or less the pack stayed together for the first
fifteen minutes, the first intermediate spring gave us a good
one between riders that usually will not go for the white
jersey, and C Rosenthal took first place followed by W Martinez
and P Carlos. G Ferrer and E Pichardo were able to open up a
gap, a group of four, Powell, Rosenthal, Carlos and Martinez
chased but could not connect. Right after the second prime, the
pack got to close to the break, Pichardo falls back to the pack
and J Clossick push hard to get Ferrer, but in a good effort
from Big Wheels Team’ blocking, now he is in a solo break until
the end of the race to take victory. Peter Carlos takes second
place at the bunch sprint, followed by Teixeira, Mosquera and
Rosenthal to complete top five.
*Pro 1, 2, 3 The field flies through the wind; pace is so
high that no one could even try to breakaway. The first sprint
for the point’s jersey had a name: Team Cocos. Pol, takes first
and Martinez second. By the time the second sprint came around,
it was dominated by Cocos again, but this time they took all
three positions; Rodriguez, Martinez and Marin. Small break
composed of six riders formed, but Ivan Franco brought them back
in less than one lap. Many other attempts happened without
success. For the final sprint Yosmani Pol racing for Team Cocos
wins the race by two bikes length over Manuel Caso from GM
Bikes. Ivan Franco with Santo Team takes third, followed by Raul
Diaz from Sun Cycling and Ortelio Marin also racing for Cocos.
*4&5’s New and strong faces arrived to this field. Hard pace
kept on the first third of the race. Bernardo Nardo takes the
first point’s sprint of the day from Jorge Marino racing for Sun
Cycling, followed by Jorge Rodriguez. Right after, Josue Betanco
goes in a solo; but Gregory Buker pulled him back. For the
second point’s sprint we had S Sanchez from Sun Cycling followed
by C Castellanos and I Hernandez. Alayon, Buker and Posueco
became very active in the race but jumping continuously until a
break of three got consolidated; unfortunately E Ortiz goes back
to the pack. Then the final sprint was decided between Posueco
and Betanco, both of them unattached riders . Posueco is the new
leader! Third place was for Y Bermudez followed by J Marino and
J Rodriguez.
