*35+ Small and slow field, every one was looking at each
other until Palomino went in a solo break. Velo Masters close
him enough for Serrania to jump and become two men break, first
prime came and the only point left was for Martinez. For the
second intermediate sprint Team Cocos brought them together,
Marin got first followed by Martinez and Morozov. A new
breakaway formed between W Gonzalez, R Diaz and M Beltran, two
laps to go and Gonzalez went by him self to win the race. Diaz
and Beltran had enough room to take second and third place.
Field sprint was for Marin followed by G Guzman.
*45+ A few attempts to break in a solo from a few riders no
one succeed until K Helms went and took the first sprint; right
after the field sprint was taken by Javier Ortiz followed by
Peter Carlos. They all got back together, for the second prime J
Ortiz wins followed by P Carlos and third place was S Wood.
After the second prime K Helms went again by himself, but this
time M Mosquera was able to close the gap and E Pichardo got
close but could not make it. Every time Helms pulled the pace
went up and Mosquera did not have time to recover for the final
sprint and took second. But know He is the new leader. Teixeira
wins the field sprint for third place, but He ties in point on
GC with Mosquera. Aldridge gets fourth followed by W Zegers.
*Pro 1, 2, 3 Morozov takes the first prime and F Rodriguez
takes de second one. But Martinez still holding his white
jersey. After the second sprint the pack got divided into three
groups, at front Zayas, Navarro, Matute, Martinez, Marin and
Cueli; last three from Cocos Team. Then we had another group of
six riders chasing and finally the bunch. The break was about to
lap the bunch, but we started encouraging them not to let be
lapped and the heard us by increasing the pace and closing the
gap to the chasing group. Two laps to go D Cueli went by himself
to win the race. L Zayas gets the field sprint and Marin takes
third, followed by Martinez and Navarro.
*Cat 4 & 5 Lots of strong riders in this race, J Rodriguez
was able to take both intermediate sprints and the white
sprinter’s jersey, B Nardo and J Marino are tie in second place
just two points behind the leader. A good break developed for a
few laps but Llorens in a good effort to reach them brought that
pack together. Posueco could not hold to his leader’s yellow
jersey, but it was taken from his team mate Y Bermudez that
wined the day. Second place was for J Rodriguez that also gets
in second place overall. Third place was for G Buker followed by
B Nardo to close top five.
