* 35+ Weather looked bad at 6 AM but changed into a beautiful
day. Series II race opener gave us a strong 35+ field. JA
Rodriguez with Rosetti Team took both intermediate sprints and
gained the sprinter’s white jersey. Y Tsang racing for
Performance cycling BR in a solo won the race and now is the man
in yellow. The fastest on from the bunch was R Hernandez from
Palmetto sport car, followed by C Wright from Performance Team.
* 45+ & 55+ Three men break hold until the second
intermediate sprint with J Armas (GS Palm Beach), L Rodriguez
Ghost Riders) and E Rodriguez (Big Wheel Sunrise). Armas took
both sprints for the white jersey. In an amaizing sprint the
Ortiz’ brothers from Ghost Riders Team took first and second,
Carlos in the leader. M Mosquera, F Craig and R Abreu did the
honors for 55+ podium.
* Pro 1,2,3 Strong wind main factor all around the 1.1 mile
loop. A Tavarez took one intermediate sprint and second on the
next one, to wear white points jersey. Coming from behind on a
strong chase, R Giraldo “el Rojo” from All 4 cycling team; after
coughing the break, broke away with N Rolo from TTR and end up
winning in a solo. Next was Rolo as well by himself. Last place
of the podium was for the fastest at the bunch sprint no other
than P Sansbury from Recio Team did the honors by taken it.
* Cat 4&5 First race of the series as well as the first tie
on points jersey between O Martinez and S Barnagaud from Garneau
Florida; we need to wait until next race to see the untie and
grant the white jersey. Cycle depot team placed two rider in the
break, but at the end the strongest was S Augusin that took
victory, followed by Barnagaud only 18; last place on the podium
was for C Avila.
