Series I Race II

Lauderhill, Fl, Mar 2nd, 2014

*35+ Brand new venue attracted new riders that made the challenge for Yellow and white jerseys more interesting. No cornering tackles the race to go fasters. Most of the time the field kept it together, at the intermediate sprints, E Ortiz from Panda Cycles KTM won the first one and place third on the second one, now he is in third place. A Hulscher from Cool beans took second on the first prime to tie in points with JA Rodriguez. Andante Patches team in a one, two at the final sprint with H Rendon and W Loheide dominated the race; last place at the podium was for I Chavez. Rendon know is the new yellow jersey leader.

*45+ & 55+ As expected on this new venue finally we had 15 riders doing the 55+ race, it was a pleasure let them do their own race apart of the 45+. Fields were separated and the “younger” took off first, J Armas from Pink Panthers kept his white jersey by increasing his points to nine, J Lyon from Cycle Depot is in second place with four. Two team mates from Z Motion broke away from the bunch to give K Schofield first and T Sanders second; last place at the podium was taken on the field sprint by R Phanord from Cycle Depot. On GC Potter gets tie on points with Schofield. Two riders broke away from the beginning of the 55+ race, two laps to go another two riders got so close about 10 second but not enough time to close the gap. P Perry (Cycle Depot) gets the day, followed by H Perilla but on GC the order gets inverted. Third place of the day was for C Glenn from Cool Beans.

*Pro 1,2,3 Main event held under perfect weather on a new venue. We could say it was fast, tie breaker needed to establish a new sprinters jersey, Y Falcon from Colavita team had both jerseys at the start of the race, took first intermediate sprint but nothing on the second one, on the other hand E Lopez from TTR took second on the first and won the second one to collect the whit jersey. Three laps to go eight men break without the leader had a chance, but one lap to go all came back. V Herrera (Alligator’s Cycling) takes victory; second place was for Y Falcon that keeps yellow but tie in points with Herrera. Third place for the podium was for P Sansbury from Racio Racing.

*4&5 Biggest field of the day and by no means slow race such a big bunch moved fast lap after lap. New contender for the points’ jersey made it together with a triple tie now. H Pages from Palmetto Sport Cars Team took both intermediate sprints. We need to wait until next race to untie this competition. On a blink of a eye, S Herring broke away two laps to go and kept to win the race. On a close sprint for less than a half wheel W Loheide from Andante Patches team took second followed by R Ramirez that kept his yellow jersey as the current leader.
