*This road race started back in 1924; this year's version
will be the 54th. A year ago Nairo Quintana by winning,
re-opened the doors to Colombian cycling to be placed yet again
on the elite cycling circle as South American power house. Only
two riders from America were able to win this event, the other
one was the North American Chris Horner on the 2010 version. Six
days of racing will bring us stage 4th as the key day, with 3
climbs category two and couple more category 1, I may add that
it has uphill finish. We may need to wait until last time trial
stage, 25.9 kilometers with two hills of 6% and 6.9%
respectively, one more race keeping us on the tip of the saddle
until last minute. Based on today's roster the possible winner
is among Rui Costa, Alberto Contador, Carlos Betancur and
Alejandro Valverde.

versión número 54. Hace un año Nairo Quintana abrió nuevamente
la ventana al mundo para colocar a Colombia en el mapa
ciclístico como potencia Suramericana, ya que será el campeón
defensor. Solamente dos corredores del continente Americano han
hecho esta hazaña, el otro fue el Norte Americano Chris Horner
en el año 2010. Esta carrera de 6 etapas nos muestra como día
clave, el cuarto; con tres premios de montaña de segunda
categoría y dos de categoría uno, terminando en subida. Pero
tenemos que esperar hasta la última etapa contra reloj de 25.9
kilómetros con dos escaladas de 6% y 6.9% respectivamente, otra
más que nos tendrá en la punta del sillín hasta el final. En
cuanto a favoritos y basados en los posibles participantes
disponibles al día de hoy, tenemos a Rui Costa, Alberto Contador,
Carlos Betancur y Alejandro Valverde.
