*35+ No sun, no wind, no rain, no leaders, since it is a new
series. Team work paid off, JF Rodriguez took both intermediate
sprints to collect the first white jersey, R Morozov from cool
bean team seats in second place, three points behind. After Many
attacks six guys broke away gaining about haft a lap from the
bunch. Tie sprint, but G Moore from Bike America by a bike
length takes victory from N Trujillo racing for TAS Team, third
on line was a ghost rider G Guzman.
*45+ & 55+ Weather still good, but racing gets faster.
Three riders broke away S Mljeak (Stradelli) J Ortiz (Ghost
Rider) and J Armas (Pink Panther). They managed to lap the field
after the first prime. J Armas continues dominating from
previous series the sprinter’s jersey, he is back in white.
After lapping the bunch S Mljeak managed to get away again to
win the race in a solo and now is the new one in yellow. M
Mosquera placed again first on the 55+ category, followed by F
Craig and F Vasquez.
*Pro 1,2,3 Climate conditions ideal for high speed racing;
and never the less was given by this bunch. With five points
between two intermediate sprints, J Rodriguez from Performance
team takes the first white jersey of this new series; followed
by R Rivera from USA Bike Street team. But major objective was
not white but yellow; his companion on the break F Matute could
not hold his pace for the final sprint. Five guys were chasing,
a youngster S Morfin from Interactive Metronome Team outsprinted
them to claim third place on the podium.
*4&5 Same team fighting for the white jersey, head to
head on both sprints O Martinez beats C Fuentes from TAS Cycling
Team, securing the sprinter’s jersey. Three guys got clear from
the bunch, J Lamy, S Sanchez and A Pineda, in a hard chase K
Abbate closed the gap, now two laps to go. For the final sprint
we saw one of closes one in years, for about one quarter of an
inch; J Lamy takes victory from K Abbate from Pink Panthers
Team, what a finale to take yellow. Third place was for S
Sanchez about one half bike lengths behind.
