* 35+ Only the brave showed up, small fields always make the
race more difficult, climbs and no place to hide. JA Rodriguez
dominated the king of the mountains jersey with eight points,
followed by G Moore with seven; but the race was for Moore,
second place taken by Rodriguez and closing the podium we had R
Robinson.
* 45+ & 55+ Nice field, Polka Dot Jersey on the table, J
Armas takes the first KOM points. From here on a break of two
took off, I Franco and R Ramirez managed to get away, they took
the points in same order for the second KOM passage. I Franco
broke a way to win the race in a solo. Ramirez took second, from
the field the yellow jersey leader C Ortiz took the last step on
the podium and consolidated his overall first place. On the 55+
M Mosquera was on the chasing group and wins his category,
second place was for S Kurth followed by R Abreu.
* Pro 1,2,3 It cannot get better that this, double tie; KOM
has Y Falcon and JA Rodriguez, both with five points, on this we
have to wait until September 7th to get the KOM champion. The
other tie is on the yellow jersey, since the current leader did
not come to race, now R Rivera and P Sansbury got 13 points
each, this coming Sunday on a brand new course at Piccolo we
will see who the new leader will be. Y Falcon in a solo wins the
day, followed by G Bianchi and third place was for P Sansbury.
* 4&5 The fight for KOM was on, L Perez-Avila took both
passages but fell short on the final sprint, at the same time C
Fuentes collected the same amount of points to tie, another
jersey that will be decided in September 7th. C Fuentes wins the
race followed by H Rendon and C Avila. Second and third place of
the day are now tie on points for yellow. The new course this
Sunday at Piccolo will break this and give us the new leader.
