*35+ Cold morning to open up 2014 season, this category gave
us 26 riders to begin with, an early break that slowly but
surely lap after lap increase the gap. Jose A Rodriguez racing
for Rossetti took both intermediate springs to claim first
sprinter’s jersey, followed by A Hulscher from Cool Beans Team.
The final sprint between these two was for Rodriguez taken as
well the yellow jersey. Field sprint to complete the podium was
for C Wright from Performance Team.
*45+ & 55+ Both combined made the biggest bunch of the day,
for many riders a good field to hide until the end. Many solo
attempts at the beginning and end of the race that did not
crystallize. Combining points for both intermediate sprints, we
have J Armas with pink panthers taking the white jersey followed
by G Potter racing for Graner-Stradalli just one point behind;
he won the race taken the yellow jersey. Second place was for R
Chamizo from Aginty Cycling, and closing the podium we had R
Hernandez (Palmetto Sport Cars). 55+ category yellow jersey was
for F Craig out of Performance Team followed by M Mosquera and J
Creavalle racing for Big Wheel and Galiz Team respectably.
*Pro 1,2,3 Power house today, big field 46 riders took the
start. Seven guys managed to break from the pack to lap the
field later on about ten minutes before the end of the race. E
Lopez from TTR team and Y Falcon from Colavita racing team tie
up in points for the sprinter’s jersey, to be define at the new
venue at Central Broward Park March 2nd. Falcon in an amazing
sprint takes yellow jersey, followed by V Herrera from
Alligator’s Cycling and E Lopez.
*4&5 Always is a pleasure to watch this race, the so call
“beginners” always surprise the spectators. Triple tie for the
sprinter’s jersey power house sprinters at their best. Y LLorens
(Performance Team) A Tavarez (EBP Team) and O Martinez did the
honors. R Rodriguez from City Bike Club in a solo wins the race
and in the guy in yellow. Field sprint taken by H Rendon racing
for Andante/Patches followed by A Tavarez closed the podium of
the day.
