*40+ The king of the mountains jersey was already won by O
Marin wit 18 points from the two previous stages here at Vista
View. J Rodriguez from Velo Maters, broke away from the
beginning of the race and made it in a solo to win all points
available for the day. Now he is on second place overall. Second
place of the day was for N Diaz from AG Team followed by N
Gonzalez from Performance team. The new leader is now C Sosa
with 11 points.
*50+ After the first prime for the polka dot jersey won by C
Rosenthal, G Ferrer and A Fundora broke away saying goodbye to
the pack. W Martinez secured his polka dot jersey with 20
points. Fundora from Velo Maters wins the race followed by
Ferrer from Big Wheel Sunrise team; the bunch sprint was for W
Martinez that now is the current leader ahead of Fundora by 4
points.
*Pro 1,2,3 A great surprise, an old friend of Rosewood and
our cycling community started the race as an incognito, Ivan
Dominguez seated at the end of the pack for the first few laps
warming up the “Cuban Missile” legs to win the race as he did at
Rosewood back in 1999. He was in a break with Y Tsang from
flying ace team. Tsang end up winning the polka dot jersey for
the year and now is the current yellow jersey leader. Third
place was for O Marin from Cocos Team.
*4&5 C Sosa was able to get one point at the polka dot
primes to be the king of the mountains, closed call for him
since Cristia tie him with 10 points. J Rodriguez from Velo
Masters Team on his second race of the day gave the bunch the
same dose he gave to the 40+ race; won in a solo. Second place
of the day was for Cristia, followed by M Ayala from Velo
Masters. The new leader now is Rodriguez with 10points followed
by Cattani with 9 points.
