* One more time South Floridians raised to the occasion, the color of our skin, the heritage where we are coming from, our ideals and views, do not make a difference, as we are all equally wrap with the same flag; the one that when it flutters, it shows our hood. This flutter represents the movement of integration of one community to serve the ones in need. You and I without distinctions have raised this flag in the past, but this time it has been different, even though if hoisted vertically, it covered and touched horizontally many, many more of us. This new spread must be keep alive for generations to come and serve as an example of unity. Every one involved, provided and gave all they could without hesitation or preset rewards. These are the true colors and values of our flag and what we stand for. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Brian Piccolo Park for allowing us to use their premises free of charge. The same goes to ZMotion for providing us with food, drinks and personnel to assist us. Also Big Wheel Sunrise Team for helping at registration and with the pace car support. I whish I can mention every single team and every rider, that also help one way or the other to make this happened, but only one word express it all THANKS, for what it was given to Eddy today. This morning we collected $9,540.00 but many people promise us some checks over the mail that we shall receive some time this week. Let hope it will go over TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!

 

Una vez mas la comunidad del sur de la Florida se levanto ante la ocasión. Ni el color de nuestra piel, ni nuestra descendencia, tampoco nuestros ideales o puntos de vista, hicieron diferencia, ya que todos estamos envueltos bajo la misma bandera. Aquella que cuando ondea nos muestra nuestra hermandad. Este ondeo, representa un movimiento de integración de una comunidad que sirve a aquellos en momentos de necesidad. UD y yo sin ninguna distinción hemos izado esta bandera anteriormente, pero esta vez ha sido diferente. Aun que ella se iza verticalmente, ha cubierto y acogido horizontalmente muchos mas de nosotros. Este nuevo alcance se debe mantener vivo para nuestras futuras generaciones, para que sirva de ejemplo de unidad. Cada cual envuelto, dio y entrego lo mejor sin pensarlo y sin esperar una recompensa. Estos son los verdaderos colores y valores de un a bandera por la cual nos levantamos. Aprovechamos esta oportunidad para agradecer al parque Piccolo por dejarnos utilizar parte de el, gratuitamente. Lo mismo por la ayuda de la gente de ZMotion y habernos dado café y algo de desayunar. A la vez también al equipo de Big Wheel Sunrise con Clarita al frente. Desearía mencionar a cada equipo personalmente lo mismo que a cada ciclista que nos acompaño, y de una forma u otra nos ayudo, pero lo único que puedo decir es GRACIAS, por lo dado a Eddy en un día como hoy. Esta mañana acaudalamos $9,540.00 dólares, pero mucha gente nos prometió enviarnos cheques por correo, que recibamos pronto. Esperemos que podamos llegar a los DIEZ MIL!
