* 35+ Not until after the two intermediate sprints, that a
break got consolidated. Three riders got ahead of the bunch with
about 20 seconds difference that they kept to the end. C Sosa
took victory and the yellow jersey, in a tight sprint JF
Rodriguez (Stradalli) by about an inch took second place from B
Whitman from Cool Bean Racing Team. It should be noted that JF
Rodriguez won the two intermediate sprints and now wears the
white Jersey.
* 45+ & 55+ Ghost Riders is the new team to beat. Impressive
performance showed last Sunday by taken both, sprinter’s white
and leader’s yellow jerseys. L Rodriguez better known as “el
electrico” took white, and third place overall. His team mate C
Ortiz took yellow. Second place on this stage was for W Martinez
from Big Wheel Sunrise team, which was a part of a four men
break that took off before the second intermediate sprint, to a
gap over 20 seconds. On the 55+ category placing was decided by
the bunch sprint, placing first M Mosquera, followed by F Craig
and R Ortiz.
* Pro 1,2,3 Cool Beans Team came for white, and they took the
sprinter’s jersey, N Adler is the fastest so far at this series.
On an impressive performance from R Companioni racing for Jamis
Team won in a solo, before the second intermediate sprint took
off and no one could keep up to the challenge. As the race
progresses the gap did the same as well and he almost lap the
field, he was just about 15 seconds to accomplish it. F Matute
on a last minute jump took second and the bunch sprint to close
the last podium spot was for JF Rodriguez.
* Cat 4&5 Very intense and fast race given by these two
combined categories, they were doing about 1’20” per lap on an I
K loop, averaging 27 MPH. Under this trend we started with a tie
on the white jersey between J Angel and O Martinez from Elvys
Trucking. High pace gave not room for a break; therefore we were
into a bunch sprint to get the first leader of this series.
Patches team took first and second with W Loheide and H Rendon,
last place at the podium was for J Douglas from Cycle Depot
Team.
