While J Armas took both intermediate sprints to consolidate his
white jersey, Y Aira regained the yellow jersey by winning the
race from a breakaway of three riders that it got formed after
the second intermediate sprint. The second place of the day was
for N Trujillo, followed by G Ferrer.
*45+ & 55+
The two intermediate sprints were taken by N Trujillo, specially
the second one was the closest of the day, and millimeters
separated them. At this time a breakaway of three was already
established, and they managed to lap the field. The special
ruling we put in place is working since the field leave them
alone for the final sprint that was taken by S Mlujeak followed
by N Trujillo and J Armas that was able to keep the yellow
jersey. On the 55+ M. Mosquera won the day followed by his team
mate R. Ortiz, the last step of the podium was for V. Balmaseda.
*Pro 1,2,3
Impressive the way that A. Geffner in a solo, lap after lap
increased the gap to take victory at Central Broward. While
debating at the bunch to see who will start the chase, N
Trujillo went by himself seeking to close distances with the man
at front, but it was almost a minute the difference and all were
running out of time. The bunch started to chase very hard
looking for the rider on second place, but they fell short by
three second. The last step on the podium was for the current
white and yellow lieder, E Lopez.
*4&5
We could say it was an interesting but still a little strange
race, this is because we saw how team mates, either fight or
share points among them for the sprinter’s white jersey. Now
when finally a breakaway of 4 riders is gone and it is composed
by two pairs from the strongest squads, A Diaz manages to get
loose and came to the finish line in a solo to win the race. His
teammate and current leader A. Lee took the second place,
leaving the third position for G Borrego.
