* 35+ JF Rodriguez defended his white jersey by taken five
points on the intermediate sprints. We saw a few attempts from
riders seeking to break away, but the bunch kept it all
together. For the final sprint on a high speed race, JF
Rodriguez racing for Stradalli won the day and now in the new
yellow jersey leader. Second place of the day was for E Philip
from Bill Bone Team followed by R Ransford (Cycle Depot) to
close the podium.
* 45+ & 55+ The fight for white is very challenging at
this time on the 45+ field, white jersey changed hands but not
team; J Ortiz from Ghost Riders is now the current white leader.
J Lyon from Cycle Depot Team won the day, followed by W Martinez
from Big Wheel Sunrise. It call our attention that right after
them we had both leaders (45+ and 55+) sprinting for next
position on the road but individually looking for third and
first respectively. Interesting to note that W Martinez now is
tie on points with current leader. Second place on 55+ was for R
Abreu followed by F Craig.
* Pro 1,2,3 Cool Beans could not hold the white jersey and
now is on Stradalli’s hands, the may bounce back to it next time
around. The new sprinter’s leader is JF Rodriguez. A break of
six got away before the second intermediate sprint. Two laps to
go F Matute went in a solo to win the race and wear yellow, he
is the new leader. Second place was for Y Tsang followed by J
Rodriguez, all of the from Rossetti Team. We had a “pink” podium
(color of their jersey).
* Cat 4&5 Very interesting race this one was. Three well
designed teams fighting for white and yellow, Elvys Trucking,
Patches and Cycle Depot. A new tie for the sprinter’s jersey, is
between J Angel and L Perez, each with six points, who will be
the new white leader August 31st. at Piccolo? L Avila not only
won both sprints, but also won the race followed by D Paulete
from Ultra Bike, and closing the podium we had H Rendon that now
is the yellow jersey leader.
