*Yesterday we started a new cycle in the series of event we
have been presenting to the cycling community of South Florida
for the past 19 years.
Our opening event started with elite and masters “A” categories.
A solid pack moved north through the fog like any other European
classic, then they came back south with a few attempts from
riders to breakaway without any success. A final sprint clearly
shows us the strength from Stradalli Team to get one-two (Y Del
Toro & E Lopez) leaving the last step of the podium to South
Miami Bike Shop (Y Aira). 15 minutes after them, we had the
second wave coming fast, at this time it was the combination of
Men and Master B categories. Austin Brown by the length of a
bike and a half took first place; on a closed sprint for second
Abdel Salas took it from Raul Velazquez
Next event of this series will be March 5th at Brian Piccolo
where we go back to the regular schedule.
Thank you to all participants as well as to all the volunteers
that gave us their time and efforts in making the Okee road race
