Series III Race III

Davie, FL, Sept 6th, 2015

* 35+ The brave only showed up. The house of pain opened up with 12 riders, the smaller the group is, the harder the race is going to be; well… C'est la vie. P Sansbury was able to consolidate his polka dot jersey, and he is crowned as the 2015 KOM. The final sprint was taken by the leader Y Aira, for the length of four bikes; impressive, three victories out of three races. The second place of the day was for Sansbury, followed in third place by J Rojas.
* 45+ & 55+ The fight for the polka dot jersey was on its way, between the current leader C Ortiz and S Mlujeak; after the second intermediate sprint we had a tie. The final sprint with Steve's second place, gave him the honors of been the new KOM. J Armas in a solo, took the day at the "dump", the third place was for L Avila. From the older guys (55+) the only one that managed to be in the front group was S Kurth, which won this category, from the chasing bunch; we had M Mosquera and P Lincoln to close the podium.
* Pro 1,2,3 We had a tie on the polka dot jersey, but none of them showed up; therefore R Companioni is the KOM. The first two races at the "dump" had a winner from the beginning to the end, and almost was the case last Sunday, we have a new kid in the block, A Mclaughlin, that was caught three laps to go, and he managed to place second. The winner of the day and new GC leader is L Zayas. Third place was for JA Rodriguez.
* 4 & 5's We started this race with the KOM leader with a secured jersey, with too many points ahead of second place, but we have a tie on the leader's jersey; a group of eight riders broke away and none of them were there, yellow up for grabs! J Gonzalez practically a new rider, takes victory and became the new leader of the series, third place of the day was for K Sakai. Two new kids are been developing in last two years into the sport, that I would like to mention, and for you out there, to keep an eye on them; Sean Mow (19) that got second place last Sunday, as well as Renato Mu (21), fourth place. This is where by keeping open this venues, it pays off. At the same time, please guys do not stop at the back hill, keep riding, there is not shame on getting dropped, by the contrary, it is an honor to come at this venue to race, not to many riders, have that courage.
